SUMMARY:6th Annual Jazz Matters At The Wren's Nest
DESCRIPTION:Mix in a whole lotta Jazz\, a dash of Soul\, a little pinch of R&B … now that’s a recipe for an evening of fun with featured artist keyboardist/producer and host of Midtown Atlanta Jam Session Al Smith; along with experiencing the amazing harmonies of KalligraFé\, with a special tribute to The Emotions; and The Edwin Williams Experience. \n \nAl Smith is an accomplished keyboardist and studio producer. Al thrills with a musical mastery of rhythm\, melody and sound featuring lush piano and string renditions to funky bass and drums. His virtuosity transcends his jazz beginnings to an eclectic ensemble of styles and genres. A metro Atlanta resident\, Al is also creator and producer of the wildly popular Midtown Atlanta Jam Session\, an artist showcase\, that provides a platform for local vocalists and musicians to display their talents. \n  \n  \n  \nKalligraFē is a musical group comprised of members\, LaToya (Toyé) Forman\, Bianca Tate\, and Nicole Pringle.  Admired for their signature sound\, this multifaceted collective consists of actresses\, songwriters\, directors and producers.  KalligraFē loves and believes there is healing in the arts; and they use their gifts to do just that. \n  \n  \n \nEdwin Williams is the founder of Jazz Matters Inc.\, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes the Art of Jazz.   His film credits include Coming2America (2021) as a member of The Sexual Chocolate Band.  No stranger to the Atlanta music scene\, he was the featured bassist for over twenty years with the John Robertson Trio at the world renowned\, Dante’s Down the Hatch jazz club in Atlanta\, Georgia. Edwin has performed nationally and internationally with major jazz and R&B artists and with The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s in its annual “Soulful Christmas” production \n
